5 Features make TiVo Roamio up to the top in set-top boxes

When TiVo first made a debut in 1999, it revolutionized the way we watch TV. But its development is not smooth. After it missed the train heading into the digital age where services such as Hulu and Netflix are replacing traditional service providers especially in the households of college students, the latest generation of set-top boxes became its strong opponent, like Apple TV/ Apple TV 3 and Roku and even gaming consoles such as the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 are potential replacements. But TiVo is innovation and progress ongoing, now we cannot say it is on the top of set-top boxes, but still very good. Here are just a few things that could put TiVo back on the map. (For example: TiVo Roamio . In August the company announced and released three new DVRs, TiVo Roamio, TiVo Roamio Plus and TiVo Roamio Pro.)
  • 1. TiVo Roamio is the world’s only DVR and streaming player in one.
  • 2. TiVo has 50% more storage capacity than any other DVR. It can record six HD shows at once with up to 3,000 hours of recording capacity working with digital cable, Verizon FiOS and HD antenna.
  • 3. With our favorite apps like Netflix, hulu, Spotify, Aol.on, YouTube etc and allow us search cable TV, Netflix and Hulu Plus at the same time, which is no other device will do that for us. So we can watch every ballgame your favorite team plays this season.
  • 4. Watch shows to our iOS devices or live or recorded shows anywhere, whether you're online or not.
  • 5. Watch on every TV in your house.

TiVo Mini lets you expand your TiVo experience to additional TVs. Watch live TV, recorded shows and stream from the web in your bedroom, the office or the kitchen. Add two, three or more Minis for an easy whole-home setup.
These highlights meet the needs of users, directly seize the user's heart. But for movie-loving people, there are still fly in the ointment, it cannot directly import DVD/Blu-ray movies or transfer VOB/BDMV files to our iOS devices. So If you want to use it to watch DVD/Blu-ray movies anywhere, whether you're online or not. You need to backup/rip/convert your DVDs or Blu-rays and transfer to your iOS devices for playing with conversion software like Pavtube ByteCopy or its Mac version
